CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE contains Celecoxib which belongs to group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is used in adults to manage osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), rheumatoid arthritis (inflammatory disease of joints), ankylosing spondylitis (chronic back pain), acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is also used to manage juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (in children aged 2 years and above).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Celecoxib, sulfonamides, aspirin and/or other NSAIDs. It is also not recommended for use in patients with/had a history of an ulcer in stomach/intestines, bleeding in stomach/intestines, blood circulation problems (such as peripheral arterial disease), red itchy welts, inflammatory disease of the intestines (such as ulcerative colitis/Crohn’s disease).
The medicine is also not indicted for use in patients suffering from lung problems (such as asthma), heart diseases (such as heart failure, recent heart attack, heart block), severe liver disease (such as advanced hepatic insufficiency) and/or kidney disease (such as advanced renal insufficiency).
Before taking CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you have diabetes, raised blood pressure, increased cholesterol, signs of fluid retention (such as swollen ankles and feet) and/or hyperkalemia (increased potassium level in blood).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women.
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged 2 to 17 years) to manage only juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.

Celecoxib is a potent pain killer often prescribed to treat severe pain, including arthritis. The 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg generic celecoxib tablets are prescription medication for long-term relief of pain and inflammation. Generic celecoxib is available in many forms and can be supplied in various strengths to suit individual needs. There are many generic prescription drugs available today, and the list below includes the most commonly prescribed. These prescription drugs are powerful painkillers which can have significant side effects. Many people will experience a number of side effects when they take generic celecoxib, and they may include headache, stomach upset, upset stomach, diarrhoea, muscle aches, joint pain, rash, and sensitivity to sunlight.
Side effects can vary from person to person, but there are some common ones:
Celecoxib can also cause mild gastrointestinal side effects such as diarrhea, nausea and abdominal pain. These side effects are rare and tend to resolve on their own. However, if these are persistent or troublesome, a doctor may be able to change the dose or suggest a more suitable treatment. Generic celecoxib may not be suitable for everyone, and there are also possible drug interactions.

The safety and efficacy of generic celecoxib tablets and capsules have been extensively studied. Studies conducted by the manufacturer showed that generic celecoxib tablets (50mg and 100mg) can be taken safely by patients with osteoarthritis of the knees and ankles. However, the results of clinical studies with generic celecoxib tablets (10mg and 20mg) have not been published. This has lead some to suggest that taking generic celecoxib tablets (10mg) at the same time as generic celecoxib capsules (100mg) could improve the efficacy of the medication.
Celecoxib (Celebrex) can be taken by mouth or swallowed with water, although the recommended dose is usually 7.5mg. The usual recommended dose of generic celecoxib is 10mg per day, taken twice a day. If a patient is taking generic celecoxib (10mg), the dose can be increased to a maximum of 20mg. If the maximum recommended dosing is not effective, the dose may need to be reduced by 5mg daily to reach the desired effective dose.
Generic celecoxib may work within 30 minutes to an hour after taking a meal. However, the onset of action can vary from person to person. Some people may experience a rapid response within 5 minutes after taking a single tablet, but the onset of action can vary from person to person. A rapid response may be the first sign of a serious side effect. Generic celecoxib may not work as quickly or effectively for some people. This is because the medicine can start working quickly after taking a single tablet. In some cases, the medicine may not start to work as quickly as it should, and the patient may not notice any side effects such as upset stomach or diarrhoea. If a patient is taking generic celecoxib (10mg), the dose can be increased to a maximum of 20mg daily. If the maximum recommended dose is not effective, the dose may need to be reduced by 5mg daily.
If the patient experiences any side effects such as diarrhoea or stomach pain, nausea or mild skin rashes, they should contact their doctor immediately. Many people have reported experiencing these side effects when taking generic celecoxib. These side effects may also be more likely to occur if the patient is also taking oral corticosteroids such as prednisone. In some cases, a patient may also experience swelling of the hands and feet, difficulty breathing and swallowing or swelling of the ankles and/or feet.
